Check the production plan for clashes before it goes out
Claude reads the plan, the open orders and each machine's available hours, works out the load on every machine week by week, and flags overloads, late orders and missing material, with the rows behind each.

- /schedule Type it in a new Cowork task to run a prompt on a schedule.
- Scheduled In Claude's left sidebar: what runs, to pause or change it.
- Export the plan and the open orders from Excel as sheets.
- Keep a short capacity sheet beside them: each machine, its shifts per week and hours per shift, and the days it is down for maintenance or holidays in the weeks the plan covers.
- Start a Cowork task, attach the three sheets, and paste the prompt.
- Fix what you agree with in the plan yourself.

The prompt
- Read the production plan, the open orders and the capacity sheets I attached.
- 1. For each machine and each week of the plan, add up the planned hours, with setup times where the plan gives them, and compare them with the hours the capacity sheet gives. Show it as one table: machine, week, planned hours, available hours, load in percent.
- 2. Mark every machine and week above 100 percent as overloaded, and above 85 percent as tight: one breakdown there makes orders late. If the capacity sheet does not give a machine's hours, ask me instead of assuming them.
- 3. Check the plan for orders planned after their due date, material not yet received for planned jobs, and changeovers that could be grouped.
- 4. List each issue with the rows it comes from and one suggested fix, such as another machine that can run the job, a week with spare hours, or an extra shift. Do not change the plan itself.
What you get
A load table per machine and week, and a list of clashes with one suggested fix each. The plan itself stays untouched.
