Keep a short list of what could hurt the business, and review it monthly
Before each monthly management meeting, Claude reads the month's notes and updates your risk list: what got more or less likely, what is new, and which actions are late. Every risk is scored by how likely it is and how badly it would hurt.

Where things are in Claude
- CustomizeConnectors In Claude's left sidebar: connect your email and files.
- /schedule Type it in a new Cowork task to run a prompt on a schedule.
- Scheduled In Claude's left sidebar: what runs, to pause or change it.
- Make a Risks folder inside your Management folder. During the month, drop in what shows a risk: incident and complaint notes, late deliveries, supplier problems, contract notes, and the last meeting's notes. Keep finance reports, bank figures and amounts out of it.
- Connect Google Drive under CustomizeConnectors. Keep this workflow's files in one Drive folder called Management.
- A few days before the management meeting, open Cowork and paste the prompt. The first time, Claude asks you ten short questions and builds the list from your answers.
- Agree every new score and action in the meeting, then tell Claude in the same task to update the sheet. Claude suggests; the meeting decides.
Set this up on your computer: the Claude desktop app runs it.
The prompt
- Taken out by a company rule: Before this month's management meeting, update our risk list: the "Risk register" sheet in my Management folder. If it does not exist yet, first ask me ten short questions about the business (how much depends on our biggest customers, suppliers we cannot replace quickly, work only one person can do, machines with no backup, open disputes, insurance), then build it from my answers. Before this month's management meeting, update our risk list: the "Risk register" sheet in my Management folder. - Score every risk on two scales and multiply them. Likelihood: 1 rare, 2 unlikely, 3 possible, 4 likely within the year, 5 almost certain. Impact: 1 a day's trouble, 2 a week's, 3 a lost order or a serious complaint, 4 a lost customer or a month of output, 5 it could stop the business. Categories: customers, suppliers, people, machines and site, money, contracts and legal, IT and data.
- 1. Read this month's files in the Risks folder inside my Management folder.
- 2. For each risk in the register, say whether anything this month changes its likelihood or its impact, with the file and the line it comes from, and suggest the new score. Do not change the sheet until I agree.
- 3. Suggest up to five new risks the files point to, each with a category, both scores and the evidence.
- 4. List every action past its date or with no owner.
- 5. For contract and legal risks, name the clause, letter or claim each one rests on, and mark the ones to show our lawyer.
- 6. Write the meeting agenda as a Google Doc in the Risks folder: the five highest scores, the biggest changes since last month, and the decisions needed, one line each.
- Taken out by a company rule: Use only what is in the files and my answers, and mark your own judgment as such. This list is for our meeting, not legal advice.Describe impact by the scale only.
