Get the decisions out of a long report in minutes
Give Claude the report. It tells you what matters for you, what it asks you to do, and the numbers it rests on, each with its page.

Where things are in Claude
- CustomizeConnectors In Claude's left sidebar: connect your email and files.
- /schedule Type it in a new Cowork task to run a prompt on a schedule.
- Scheduled In Claude's left sidebar: what runs, to pause or change it.
- When a long report lands, open Cowork, attach it, and paste the prompt.
- For anything you will act on, open the page it cites and check it. Claude can misread a number.
- Ask follow-up questions in the same task; it still has the whole report.
Set this up on your computer: the Claude desktop app runs it.
The prompt
- Read the whole report I gave you and give me:
- 1. What it is, who wrote it and why, in two lines.
- 2. The five points that matter most for us, each with its page number.
- 3. Everything it asks us to do or decide, with deadlines.
- 4. The numbers it rests on, with page numbers, and any that look inconsistent.
- Then list five questions I should ask the authors. Quote the report's own words for anything we would have to commit to. If something is unclear, say so instead of filling the gap.
What you get
One page: the key points, the asks and deadlines, the numbers with page references, and the questions to ask.
