Write interview questions and one scorecard for every role
Give Claude the job ad. It writes questions for each must-have, what a strong and a weak answer sound like, and one scorecard every interviewer fills in the same way.

Where things are in Claude
- CustomizeConnectors In Claude's left sidebar: connect your email and files.
- /schedule Type it in a new Cowork task to run a prompt on a schedule.
- Scheduled In Claude's left sidebar: what runs, to pause or change it.
- Once for the whole company: your Microsoft admin approves Claude's Microsoft 365 connector and turns on its write tools, so Claude can save drafts and files. If connecting asks for an admin's approval, this is still to do: send them this step.
- Put the job ad for the role, and the hiring manager's notes if you have them, in a folder named after the role inside your HR folder.
- In Cowork, connect your HR folder in OneDrive or SharePoint (the one synced to this computer).
- When a role opens, paste the prompt into Cowork and name the role's folder.
- Go through the plan with every interviewer before the first interview. Each one scores alone, and the hiring decision stays with you.
Set this up on your computer: the Claude desktop app runs it.
The prompt
- Write the interview plan for the role whose folder I name inside my HR folder, from the job ad and any hiring manager's notes in it. Do not open any CV in the folder.
- 1. List the must-haves from the ad, five at most. If the ad does not keep must-haves apart from nice-to-haves, ask me which are which before you go on.
- 2. For each must-have, write two questions: one about something the candidate has done ("Tell me about a time you ..."), and one practical question or short task taken from a normal week in this job. Add one follow-up that asks for detail.
- 3. Under each question, write in two lines what a strong answer contains and in two lines what a weak one does, so every interviewer listens for the same things.
- 4. Add the three closing questions every candidate gets, and a short opening for the interviewer: who is in the room, how long it takes, and when the candidate hears from us [TO FILL: date].
- 5. Make one scorecard that prints on a single page: each must-have on its own row, scored 1 to 4 with what each score means, a box for the evidence (what the candidate said or did), and a line for the interviewer's name. Each interviewer fills it in alone, before talking to the others.
- Write it all as a Word document in the role's folder. Ask about the work only. No question about age, family plans, marital status, pregnancy, health, religion, nationality, where someone comes from or politics, and none that invites an answer about them. Where the ad does not say what the job needs, write [TO FILL: what is missing] instead of guessing.
What you get
An interview plan for the role: two questions per must-have with what to listen for, and a one-page scorecard with room for the evidence behind each score.
