Ship a Mobile App with Claude

Build a real phone app by directing Claude, on a Windows laptop and an Android phone, and get it into the store

Most app courses assume a MacBook, prior JavaScript and a willingness to spend two hundred hours. This one assumes a mid-range Windows laptop, an Android phone in your pocket and no code you have written yourself. You will have an app running on your own phone in the first lesson, then build it into something real: tabs, a form, data that survives a restart, a receipt photo from the camera, an evening reminder, your own icon and name. Then you ship it, and this is where every other course stops. The twenty-five dollar door, the twelve testers, the fourteen days, the data safety form and what review actually looks like. Everything up to the store costs nothing, and the course says exactly where money starts.

No. Module 1 starts at zero — you'll open a terminal for the first time and install Claude Code, step by step. Windows, macOS and Linux are all first-class; most of our learners are on Windows, and Claude Code installs natively there with no WSL required.

A computer (Windows 10 or later, macOS 13+, or Linux) and a paid Claude plan. Claude Code needs a Claude Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise account — Anthropic's free plan does not include it. That's separate from what you pay us, so budget for both. You'll install Claude Code on your own computer — it's one command and takes a couple of minutes. The browser sandbox lets you practise the first commands before you install anything.

FirstPrompt isn't affiliated with Anthropic. We teach Claude Code because it's the best tool we've used for shipping fast. If you subscribe to Claude Pro through our link we earn an affiliate commission — you're free to subscribe directly instead, and it costs you the same either way.

Less than you'd think. Lessons are short and hands-on, and every course page shows its real lesson count and reading time, counted from the lessons themselves. Most people spread a course over short daily sessions (the streak system rewards small wins), but nothing stops you from finishing a module in an evening.

Yes, that is the point. Every course ends with a capstone you do for real. In the Claude Code course it is a website of your own, live on the internet; in the others it is the real thing the course is about, like a week of job applications, a week of published posts or a small ad test. Every course is fully available now.

It matters as much as your work does. The cert page is public and anyone can verify it: your name, the course and the date you finished. Recruiters click that. Some don't. We don't promise jobs, only the receipt of doing the work.
