In the next five minutes you will stop describing design with adjectives and start naming directions — and you will see the same product wear three of them.
"Modern", "clean", "premium", "sleek". Every one of those words points at the middle of the distribution — which you now know is exactly where you do not want to go. Claude has seen a million "modern, clean" pages, and it will hand you their average.
A named direction is different. It points at a specific world with rules the model already knows: what materials belong there, what type belongs there, what would be out of place. One name carries fifty decisions.
One product, three names
All three of these are Ember Roast — same copy, same brief. Only the named direction changed.
Read the three captions again — they are the actual direction lines. Notice the pattern: a name, then three or four committed details. The name summons the world; the details pin down what you mean by it.
Where names come from
