Preparing documents from source files is the third use case Anthropic calls out — and it's the satisfying one. You hand Cowork the raw material and a clear description of the deliverable, and it produces a finished report, deck, or PDF that lands as a real file in your connected folder.

The quality of what you get back depends on two things: the sources and the spec. Give Cowork the actual files to work from, and describe the deliverable precisely — format, length, audience, structure. Vague in, vague out.
