Claude follows instructions well — but a fresh session starts with no memory of your project. CLAUDE.md fixes that. It is a plain text file in your project folder that Claude Code reads automatically, every session, before it does anything. Think of it as a short note you leave for Claude so you stop re-explaining the same things.
You met /init back in Module 2, which writes a starter CLAUDE.md. This lesson is about making it genuinely useful.
