Motion designer in İstanbul. I make title sequences and brand motion for studios who need the first ten seconds to carry the whole thing.

Karanlık Sular

A six-part drama needed an opening that felt like something rising through water. Built in Cinema 4D and finished in After Effects, on a schedule that had already slipped twice.

Vestel — identity in motion

Twelve-second idents and a motion system the in-house team could keep using: build rules, timing curves, and a file anyone could open without me in the room.

Ada

Fifteen seconds, no budget, one weekend. Shot practical on a table with coloured gels, then tracked and typeset. The director wanted it to look expensive; it cost the price of the gels.

About

Six years · İstanbul
Selin Aydın in the studio

I started in a post house cutting promos, which is where I learned that a sequence lives or dies in its first two seconds. Six years later I work on my own, mostly with studios and agencies who bring me in when the opening has to do more than announce a name.

I like projects with a real constraint in them — a schedule, a format, a brand system that cannot bend. I work in Cinema 4D and After Effects, hand over organised files, and I will tell you when an idea is not working rather than animate it beautifully anyway.

Working together

The questions I get asked
What does a title sequence cost?+

Most sequences land between €4,000 and €12,000 depending on length, how much is built in 3D, and how many rounds you need. I quote a fixed figure after one conversation, not an hourly rate.

How long do you need?+

Four to six weeks for a full sequence. I can work faster, but the first week is design and I would rather not cut it — that is the week that decides whether the rest is worth animating.

Do you work with agencies?+

Often. I am comfortable inside someone else's process and happy to be credited or not. I do ask to speak to whoever is actually approving the work.

Can you match an existing brand system?+

Yes, and I prefer it. Send the guidelines and any motion that already exists; a system with real constraints usually produces the better result.

What do you need from me to start?+

The script or a cut, the deadline, and who signs it off. If there is a reference you love, send that too — one honest reference saves a fortnight of guessing.

Send the script or the cut, the date it has to be finished, and who signs it off. I reply within two working days, always — including to say no.
