Emin
Berber
A two-chair barber shop on Moda Caddesi. The same two barbers since 2009. Walk in, or call and we'll keep a chair for you.
Cuts and prices
Wash, cut, finish. About 40 minutes.
Shaped and lined, hot towel.
The usual for most of our regulars.
Hot towel, straight razor. About 30 minutes.
Any weekday before 15:00.
Cash and card both fine. No appointment needed — call ahead only if you'd rather not wait.
Two barbers, one street
Emin opened the shop in 2009 and still takes the first chair. Kaan joined in 2016 and takes the second. You'll get the same person each time unless you ask otherwise, and neither of us will rush you out.
We speak Turkish and English. Busiest on Saturday afternoons and the days before a holiday; quietest on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.
Before you come
Do I need an appointment?+
No. We take walk-ins all day, every day we're open. If you'd rather not wait, call an hour ahead and we'll hold a chair.
How long will I wait?+
Usually nothing on a weekday morning. Saturday afternoon can be thirty to forty minutes. Call and we'll tell you honestly before you set off.
Can I pay by card?+
Yes, card or cash. No minimum.
Do you cut children's hair?+
Yes. Under twelves are ₺200 on weekdays before 15:00, when the shop is quiet and it's easier on everyone.
Is there parking?+
Not on Moda Caddesi itself. There's a car park on Şair Nefi Sokak, two minutes away. Most people come on foot or off the ferry.
Do you speak English?+
Yes, both of us. Bring a photo if you have one in mind — it beats any description in either language.
